The Way Church isn’t a perfect place, but it is a real one.
At The Way Church, we're not trying to build something impressive, God will do that, we're trying to build something real.
We follow Jesus, we teach His Word, and we walk through life together. No pressure to have it all together. Just people taking one willing step forward at a time to be shaped and sanctified by God.
Before believers were ever called Christians, they were called "followers of The Way." (Acts 9:2) They were known for the Way they lived their lives following Jesus Christ. And That is what we are inviting you into.
Bible-Centered Teaching
We don't just read the Bible. We teach it, explain it, and apply it so the Word of God changes/shapes how we live.
Our focus isn't on opinions or trends. It's on Jesus, and letting His Truth shape our lives day by day.

Our Core Beliefs
God
There is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal, and they are worthy of worship, honor, and glory.
Matthew 28:19 – "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
John 1:1-14 – "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us."
God The Father
God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history according to the purposes of His grace. He is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise. God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. He is fatherly in His attitude toward all men.
Genesis 1:1; 2:7; Exodus 3:14; 6:2-3; 15:11ff.; 20:1ff.; Leviticus 22:2; Deuteronomy 6:4; 32:6; 1 Chronicles 29:10; Psalm 19:1-3; Isaiah 43:3,15; 64:8; Jeremiah 10:10; 17:13; Matthew 6:9ff.; 7:11; 23:9; 28:19; Mark 1:9-11; John 4:24; 5:26; 14:6-13; 17:1-8; Acts 1:7; Romans 8:14-15; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Galatians 4:6; Ephesians 4:6; Colossians 1:15; 1 Timothy 1:17; Hebrews 11:6; 12:9; 1 Peter 1:17; 1 John 5:7.
Jesus
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who became incarnate through the virgin birth, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross as a substitutionary atonement for the sins of humanity. He was buried and rose again from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven, and will return in power and glory to judge the living and the dead. He walked this earth both 100% God and 100% man living a perfect and sinless life. Jesus is the physical manifestation of the invisible God. He has been and will be eternally existent as one person in the Godhead consisting of The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
John 1:1- “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2- “He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made.”
John 1:14 – "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth."
Romans 5:8 – "But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 – "For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures."
Acts 1:11 – "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw Him go into heaven."
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, empowers them for Christian living, and equips them with spiritual gifts. The Holy Spirit is the presence of God in the life of believers and the Church.
John 14:16-17 – "And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you."
Acts 1:8 – "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
The Authority of Scripture
The Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is God's revelation of Himself and His will for humanity.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 – "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness."
Humanity and Sin
We believe that humanity was created in the image of God, but through Adam's sin, all people have inherited a sinful nature, are alienated from God, and are under His righteous judgment. Every person is in need of salvation and reconciliation with God which is freely offered in Christ Jesus. With salvation we are allowed to be in fellowship with God eternally in heaven. Without reconciliation we will be eternally separated from God which scripture designates as Hell.
Genesis 1:27 – "So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them."
Romans 3:23 – "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Ephesians 2:1-3 – "And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked..."
Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. Salvation is not earned by works but is a free gift from God to all who repent and trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Those who are saved are justified by His blood, adopted into the family of God, and sealed by the Holy Spirit for eternal life. There is nothing to big that you have done where He cannot redeem you. There is nothing to broken in you that He cannot restore. If today you read this, I pray nothing will stop you from talking to Him right now. Give your life to Him and receive one that is inconceivable, incomparable, beyond explanation. That is a life in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:8-9 – "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."
Romans 10:9 – "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
The Church
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers in Jesus Christ. It is called to worship God, proclaim the gospel, make disciples, and serve the world in the name of Christ. The Church is also called to observe the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper as commanded by Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:12-13 – "For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ."
Matthew 28:19-20 – "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Baptism and the Lord's Supper
We believe that baptism is the public declaration of a believer’s faith in Jesus Christ and a symbol of being buried with Him in His death and raised to walk in newness of life. We practice believer’s baptism by immersion. The Lord's Supper (also known as communion) is a symbolic act of remembering Christ’s sacrifice on the cross for the forgiveness of sins and the covenant we have with Him.
Romans 6:4 – "We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."
1 Corinthians 11:23-26 – "For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when He was betrayed took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it..."
Eternal Life
We believe that all people will live forever, either in the presence of God in heaven or separated from Him in hell. Eternal life with God is a gift, given to those who have faith in Jesus Christ. Eternal separation from God is the result of rejecting Him and His offer of salvation.
John 3:16 – "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life."
Revelation 21:3-4 – "And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore.'"
Marriage
We believe that marriage is a covenant relationship between one man and one woman, as ordained by God. Any sexual relationship outside of the covenant of marriage, including homosexual relationships, is contrary to God's design. Biblical marriage upholds the complementary nature of male and female as God's intention for human relationships.
Genesis 2:18, 24 – "Then the Lord God said, 'It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.'... Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh."
Matthew 19:4-6 – "He answered, 'Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh"? So they are no longer two but one flesh.'"
